Aqua Fit workouts combine a variety of moves and techniques from exercises you might do in the gym or at other fitness classes such as jumps, jumping jacks, running, stretches as well as movements you may find in other sports.
One of the major advantages of an Aqua Fit class is that it has very low impact on muscles and joints greatly reducing the risk of injury and is therefore great for pregnant women and older people. The water also prevents the body from overheating.
Due to the resistance of the water the Aqua Fit classes are at a slower pace than land based classes.
As our pool is only 1.5m deep at the deep end you don’t have to be a great swimmer to take part, although you would need to have some confidence being in the water.
